BIG Latch On Event
Here at BirthMatters, we are a team of black, community-based doulas that work to reduce teen pregnancy through reproductive health education. We also empower expectant young adults to raise healthy families through our work by utilizing the community health worker model that can be found on our website at www.birthmatters.org. We are currently working on a community event/project that aims to improve the health and wellness of moms and babies in the community by hosting a fun and educational event that supports breastfeeding.
We are leading our BIG Latch On event for World Breastfeeding Week and Breastfeeding Awareness Month for the month of August at our local community center on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 5:30 to 7:30p. This event will be open to the public for everyone who would like to come out and support our moms that are or would like to breastfeed.
