Breastfeeding Read-In
Join Mary’s Center WIC Program for a celebration of National Breastfeeding Month on August 3, 2022 at 2:00pm at the DC Petworth Library, located at 4000 Kansas Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20011! Participate in our “Read-In” with books all about how mother’s feed their children and register for free books to be mailed to children at home! The event is to honor and recognize our breastfeeding mothers and support our pregnant women with breastfeeding information. Also, we will have community resource information, such as Safe Sleep and how to obtain a cribette FREE of charge of newborns and toddlers up to 1 years old. We have partnered with DC Petworth Library to register parents and children for their library cards in support literacy and life long learning. There will be giveaways and Breastfeeding Peer Counselors on site. Space is LIMITED call to REGISTER (202) 420-7154. NOTE: All participants must wear a mask over your face and nose to enter the library.
