Lift Up Every Baby

Join us for our 9th Annual Lift Up Every Baby! Event on Saturday, August 26, 2023. We will celebrate birth, health, wellness, breastfeeding, and the resiliencies of Black families and communities. This year’s theme highlights the joys of the journey to parenthood. The goal of the event is to acknowledge and celebrate community strengths, assets, cultural norms, and Black resilience despite institutionalized racism, health disparities and inequities. Lift Up Every Baby! (LUEB) takes place during National Black Breastfeeding Awareness Week (August 23-28)— which parallels World Breastfeeding Awareness Month.

Here’s what’s happening at the 9th Annual Lift Up Every Baby! Event…

· Celebrate Cultural Heritage – Opening Ceremony

· Visit 8 Health-Wellness Stations

· Attend Fathers/Partners Expression of Joy Gathering

· Join Recognition of Pregnancy/Infant Loss

· Visit Children Play & Craft Center

· Receive Back-to-School Supply/Book Bag

· Shop Free – Community Baby Shower Express

· Enjoy a Community Dinner

· Rest at Mom & Baby Nursing/Care Station

· Also, it’s all Free – Boy Haircuts & Girl Nail Polish Glam
